Graduated OPHS, 1964, Returned 1970 as teacher, coach. Served as Principal from 1977 to 1989. Now retired after 30 years in Clay County Schools. Enjoying the mountains - still getting used to retirement. many pleasant memories of OPHS - the BEST years in my career.
Update: We moved into our new home. Won't be moving again for a LONG time! I'm teaching Middle School Special Ed.

All three sons were OPHS senior class presidents: Classes of 1994, 1996 and 2000. I'm in my fifth decade in the US Army Reserves and will soon retire. In the meantime, I'm writing for the Clay County Leader and teaching writing at FCCJ. I am enjoying life back in school at UF. Looking forward to our 40th class reunion! Go Gators!

Currently employed with the City of Jacksonville in the Building Department as a Plans Examiner. Completed 2 years of college with an AA degree. Opened my own company (A.B.C. Acoustics, Inc.) worked and ran that for several years. Currently running Barthlow Construction Company on the side-build houses to sell. Very proud of children: Ashley Paige Gaskins and Frederick Thomas Barthlow. Ashley is going to Phamarcy School at Nova (Ft. Lauderdale/West Palm Beach). She is married, no children. F.T. is in his 3rd year Apprenticeship Program with the Pipe Fitters Union and is currently working for W.W. Gay on a service truck. Go Gators and Go Raiders!

After spending my US Army time in Viet Nam, I went to work for Southern Bell. I married Elaine Carter in 1971. I accepted a transfer to Mt. Bell in Utah in 1978 and retired from them in 1984. I went to work for the US Army as a civilian communications manager. I served in Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia, I retired from the US Army in
August 2000. Enjoying the good life. My wife is still married and I buid fast cars.
