I taught Biology, Physical Science, Math, Life Management, Earth Sciences and Oceanography during the 13 years I taught at OPHS. I taught 7 years at Lakeside Jr. High and 2 years at Clay High School. I currently am the Assistant Principal at JEB Stuart Middle School and I will retire from the Naval Reserve with 31 years next October as a Lieutenant

I attended OPHS during the "Best Years". Peace and Love is all we know. We're the Class of 70! I married in 1972 and have a beautiful daughter, Rachel, (my best accomplishment) who is a recent graduate of Florida State. After being a "single mom" I moved to the Seattle area 7 years ago and married (a 60's surfer guy and a friend of 20 years), Tom. Until recently, worked for a subsidiary of IBM as a technical writer for medical billing and charting software programs.I love the great NorthWest but I do miss those Coppertone days at Vilano Beach, the warm breeze off the St. John's River and old friends....where are you?

Married to Mike Alvers (class of 1971) for 14 years. I have a 22 year old daughter, April, and a 19 year old son, Matt. Matt plans to join the Coast Guard. April is planning to finish her education and teach high school or Special Ed after the babies are a little older. Mike has 2 sons and one daughter who live in Mddleburg & Keystone area. His 2 sons are the parents of our wonderful granddaughters. I attended Armstrong State College in Savannah and am a dental hygienist. Mike is employed by Milton J. Woods Mechanical Contractors as a Superintendent and has 30+ years background in plumbing and pipefitting. He bids jobs and oversees the hiring and purchasing of large construction jobs. I love to travel and go on a lot of "girls trips" with my friends, especially during hunting season or bass fishing tournaments! Those keep Mike pretty busy while I am on the road! We enjoy our famiies and spend a lot of time with our wonderful grandchildren.
