Currently Vicki, formerly Vicki Beeson class of 73, and I are living at Ft. Drum, NY. I am an Army Colonel assigned as the Director of Operations XVIII Airborne Corps. Vicki is an RN working at the local army hospital. We have three children. Ssgt(USAF) Joe Kelly(25), stationed at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City with wife Heather and two daughters, Erin(6), and Brenna(4). Our daughter Kristy(23) is an Army 2lt. She just completed signal officer basic course. After attending Airborne School at Ft. Benning, she will also be assigned to Ft. Bragg. We can't wait for her to arrive so she can take back her cats. Our youngest, Jeff(21) is attending U of F majoring in economics. Hopefully, he will graduate some day.

Hi 71 Grads. Orange Park is still a great place to live. My wife (Carol Knief Class of 71) and I have been married 25 years and have two children. Lisa is 20 and is a Junior at Flager College in St. Augustine on a basketball scholarship and majoring in Business. Brian is 17 and a Junior at OPHS. I have been in education the past 24 years. The last 17 years I have been in Administration. I am the Vice Principal at Orange Park Junior High. To date all 24 years of service have been in OP. My former Principal was Stephanie Athens who taught me and maybe you in Science or PE back in the late 60's and early 70's. Carolyn has been a secretary at W.E. Cherry Elementary School the past 13 years. Can't wait for the 2001 reunion.

Proud grad of OPHS '71. I went to Jax JuCo for a year & got married in Aug. 1972 to a navy corpsman from OK. We moved to OK in 1975 so he could join his family in the construction business. I went to work for the OK Secretary of State in 1976 & have been here since. The Governor appoints the Secretary who is also a Cabinet Secretary and liaison to the legislature, congressional delegation & federal agencies. I found my niche working with the law & legislature. I work mainly with business law because I supervise the Business Division of our agency. I've traveled around the country & met many public figures so it's an exciting job - no $$ though! I have 3 daughters, 26, 20 & 13 & and a grandchild on the way. They are all very athletic so we have coached & traveled with competitive fastpitch softball & basketball teams for 20 years. I love OK but how I miss the beaches!! I hope we have a 2001 reunion because I will be there!

I've been working at First National Bank for 20 years and am a Credit Analyst for the business and commercial department. Wayne has been working for the county for 18 years and is head of the maintenance department. Our oldest son, Wade, who was 26 on July 4th, was married to Kari Van Der Pol on July 18, 1998. They have a cat and a dog, but no children yet. Our son, Derek, is 16 and is a Junior this year. He is big into golf and likes about every sport ever invented.

Greetings to old friends and friends-to-be!
I live in Atlanta. I have a wonderful daughter and two exceedingly spoiled grandcats who live about 30 miles away. This summer I helped celebrate my parents' (some of you remember Mrs. Bowen, yes?) 50th wedding anniversary in Charleston. My brother, Eddie, is retired from the Air Force and happily living in the northwest corner of Washington State.
I work at Emory University, as the office Manager in the English Department. I have been in administrative/managerial roles a long time, although my heart is not in this kind of work. Happily, this year I am exploring a number of things which I hope will develop in some way into another career: writing (which I love), an affiliation with the Center for Holistic Health in Decatur as a Reiki practitioner (which I also love), and my most recent discovery - that I want to develop my voice (we'll see how this one turns out!).
Atlanta suits me less and less. I'm going to take this opportunity to mention the qualities I want in a place to live: natural beauty, diversity, a moderate to mid-liberal politcal climate, friendly people (very important), a population which is environmentally conscious but not rabidly so, a community which welcomes holistic medicine without throwing traditional medicine out the window, and the freedom to go for a walk without warnings that the air is unsafe to breathe. Any suggestions?
