Left OPHS in Feb. '71, so I didn't graduate, but still had some good times and memories.  I've worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 19 years, started as an Air Traffic Controller, that's still my official title, but I'm working full-time on an airspace redeign project for the NY/NJ and Philadelphia metro areas.  Married to Carmela, 2 step-sons, a dog and a 96 year old Victorian that so far hasn't need much work.   I have 2 sons, Dylan 25 and Bennett 19.  Both in the arts.  You may have seen Dylan's art on display at the Jacksonville Landing as he attended the School of Arts in Jax.  He has successfully sold paintings and sculpture.  He was in a band in Tampa, FL that performed in many of the hot spots in Ybor City and the Shappire Supper Club in Orlando.  The name was November Foxtrot Whiskey.  Now disbanded, he lives in Melbourne with his fiance'. He's always had a base in retail management and now is an apprentice to become a tatoo artist.  Bennett is the supreme guitarist, (hot licks like Eddie Van Halen) and working with bands in the Sarasota, Tampa area, trying to get established.  I worked for 20 years for a major appliance parts distributorship...ultimately in charge of all 33 branch locations from Florida to New York to California.  I supported them in all areas of computer training, sales support, and organized, planned and designed their retail point of sale displays.  After a 10 year struggle with fibromyalgia and now some arthritis (don't you love this getting old stuff?)...my body told me to slow down the pace. I just made a new career change. It's been great going to the site to see everyone.  I only attended OPHS in 1971 so I probably remember more than remember me...send me an e-mail.Hope to see you in 2006!

We are currently building (ourselves) a house on 40 acres in a little town outside of Mountain Home, AK.  MH is in the Ozark mountains between Little Rock and Springfield, MO.  We haven't been here long and may not be staying.  It has turned out to be a lot harder than I ever imagined.  It is beautiful country, rolling hills, running creeks, lakes that are sometimes as green crystal clear as the water in the Keys.  Wildlife is abundant and frequently at the back door.  Yes, deer, turkeys, and coyotes. Unfortunately, there are no decent jobs and the ones you can get pay peanuts.  I am working at a Dr's. office and it's not what I want to do anymore.  I have studied alternative medicine for many years now and have found that for me, homeopathy has brought me back to a place of health.  Having struggled for years with my health, or lack of it, I needed to find a way back to health.  The doctors all said there was no more they could do to help me, so I helped myself.  I would never have attempted such a huge project as building a house, waterproofing a basement, clearing land, raising animals, tilling and shoveling manure for the best vege gardens, building with rock, building fires that will keep you warm all night, before I got well.  This has been very interesting and this last winter was a challenge, especially in an unfinished house.  I have gone from environmentally sensitive to environmentally active in the last ten years.  So here I am and loving it.  I pastured some horses here but they proved to be nuisances around the house.  There was no time to fence off an area for them so they had to go.  It's about 25 miles to where I work but there are only 2 lights and 2 stop signs and no traffic.  Truly heaven on earth and I know all you guys still in Jacksonville are momentarily envious.  But remember, I am too far out to have cable.  Ah...there's the rub.  That's all that's new in my life...busy, busy, busy!

I am a freelance documentary television cameraman based in Florida and work primarily for the BBC (UK television).  I have 2 devilishly cute little girls, Carrie & Elizabeth and a spouse of 24 years, Analee, whom I met at UF.  I really enjoy meeting new people and discovering what makes them tick.  My camera gives me the excuse to worm my way into their hearts and homes and hang out.
