I am now a primary care physician specializing in Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture and Homeopathy. I am practicing in Central Florida. I sold out to the establishment after spending almost 20 years as a journalist (remember I started with the Cutlass at 12 years years old and then the community papers by 14 y.o.) I have worked for the phone company selling yellow pages for 19.5 years and while there I put myself through medical school which was my dream in High School. I passed my boards in Oct 98 and last year I moved to a beautiful home in Leesburg. I would love to reconnect with everyone down memory lane.

After school, I moved down to Ft. Lauderdale to attend the Art Institute, studying commercial art and photography. What a culture shock! Ft. Lauderdale, in the 70's, was "wide open" to say the least. I moved back to Jacksonville (San Marco area) in '74 and got a job at a design studio doing work for the William Cook Agency. After that, I went "corporate" and worked for a St. Joe company for the next 13 years. I then started my own business and became a successful advertising agency for the next 10 years. I was offered a job with one of my best clients, that I couldn't refuse, so I sold my business and became Marketing Director for Koger Equity. I was married in '83 and have a 14 year old son named Taylor from that marriage. He is with us a lot and is the joy of our lives. I got divorced in '92 and met the "love of my life", Vicki. We have been together for 9 years (married 5) and have 2 silky terriers named Rhett and Pitty Pat. We have a very busy lifestyle and have enjoyed going to London to visit my younger brother, Mark (class of '75) and his English family, as well as seeing that part of the world. I enjoy being outside and especially on the water. I have some good memories of OPHS and I am looking forward to seeing people I haven't seen in years, at the 30 year Reunion.

FINALLY graduated from college in May, 2000!!!! Major in Theology and minors in Christian Education, Psychology, and Art Therapy.
I am presently working on a Clinical Pastoral Education Internship for the next year and will get my Masters in two years--probably through Wake Forest (I have completed one semester of Div. School there before the internship.)
It would be fun to catch up on everything that everyone else has been up to--sorry I haven't been able to make any of the reunions.

I left OP in 1970 and went out on my own to finish high school. I graduated on time in Ogden, Utah, but was only there a year and didn't make any lasting friends. I lived in Southern California until 1977. While there I married, started college, had a daughter, divorced and then moved to Washington State. I worked and went to college as a single/divorced mom off and on until graduating in 1986. Since then I have workded as a social worker and a counselor, with emotionally disturbed adolescent girls, runaways, "throw-away" kids (teens abandoned by their parents), in group homes and crisis residential type situations. I began working with aging services and doing medical social work in 1991, and since 1998, after being laid off a second time have been doing temporary and part time work. I remarried in 1990, to a man I'd been with since 1987, thus acquiring my stepson and daughter (the grandchildren came later). My husband is a disabled Vietnam veteran, and was diagnosed with a brain tumor last year, so the past year has been filled with hospitals and spousal caretaking. My primary intersts are gardening/farming, my family and the Baha'i faith. I'm working on developing a business of my own, primarily an herb farm and tree nursery, on my two acre farm here in ther Okanogan Valley, in north central Washington state. I'm very active in the Baha'i faith, emphasizing study of the sacred writings of the world and service to humanity. I also have 15 years clean and sober. Any of you who remember me, I'd love to hear from you and reconnect. I won't be able to attend this year's reunion but would like to get back in touch with people from OP if anyone is still around.
