Can't believe its been 20 years. I still haven't figured out what I want to be when I grow up. But somehow I managed to raise a daughter (Jessica), she's 16 and goes to Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. I'm glad some of the fashions we wore are finally back in style so she can stop laughing at old pictures of me and my friends..oh wait...that would be some of you guys. She still doesn't believe that MTV used to ALL music videos. What would life be without TRL? I know I was never one of the cool ones back at OPHS but I don't remember becoming so "whatever". The word I seem to hear the most at home. I want to be "off the hook" apparently, but I don't know what that means. So I'll just keep torturing, I mean bonding with my daughter and her friends by playing Van Halen, Rush, Billy Squier, ACDC, Pat Benatar, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, Led Zeppelin, REO, Journey, Blondie, Bowie, Cheap Trick...Well you get it. See you at the reunion!

Foxwood Ditch Skaters
I have stayed mostly in the Gainesville area since taking my degrees there... Various film and education projects have had me working in California, Texas, Ireland, Georgia, Colorado, N.Y., Mexico, Canada, Fla., Scotland, N. Carolina, Jamaica, etc...
I am involved in the TRUE Natl. Defense operations of Public Education, mostly focused in the Social Sciences. The military proved largely to be a wasteful hoax in actual "defense" of what threatens our great nation...Our own nation's ignorance threatens us more than any other outside forces possibly could. My education at OPHS from teachers like Mr. Nulty, Marty Mayer & Coach Salem really helped inspire an appreciation for Public Awareness through schools. My education in motion pictures from people like Morgan Freeman, Barbara Margolis, Mel Gibson, Lynn Ramsay, Sam Sheppard, Helen Caldicott & River Phoenix really helped inspire an appreciation for writing and film work that can move people to rise above petty daily concerns. My wifey lover, our 12 year old daughter and 2 yr. old son, critters and farm in Hague, FL continuously inspire me...as do my ancestors, 1000's of current/former students, tribal friends, partners/comrades, etc...I look back at OPHS with fond memories of the lessons learned there and the awareness cultivated there.

After graduation, (top 10%) where fellow students came up to me and said "I didn't know were were smart!, I went to the Stenotype Institute @ Jax. Beach and have owned my own business called Clay County Reporters for the past 11 years. I have been an official Court Reporter at the Clay County Courthouse for the past 18-plus years. I've heard and seen it all in Clay County, including some of ya'll. You know who you are. I have 2 great kids, a son Kyle, almost 18 , Wow!, and a daughter Kellie, 13. My son and I hang out and have a great time together. His friends think I am the coolest Mom ever. And I am. People think I am his sister. Don't laugh..I look great. Actually, I didn't write very much at first until I started looking at everybody else's stuff and figured my life is more than a one-liner. I missed the 5, 10, 15 but I do plan on attending the 20th reunion. See ya! Hey John, do you remember going to the movies in 9th grade (you were my first date) and riding your moped around the Orange Park Mall?????

My parents moved 6 weeks before graduation, and now looking at my yearbook, I only have three signatures! Thank you Karen Hobbs, Lee Smits and Scott Wright!
I was an x-ray technologist before I was a full-time mom. Sometimes I miss it, but I'm glad I'm able to help my kids gain spoken language and prepare to mainstream.

I am married to an older guy (the grandkid thing is a giveaway) and have 3 step-kids I acquired as teenagers. I've been at the Courthouse working for almost 18 years in various capacities. I'm in the IS dept. now as Forms Manager and I work with the Clearing Acct. Monies. I have no children of my own but really enjoy the grandkids.
